10th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME  (Page 866, 452, 499)

10th week in Ordinary Time

Readings : Sunday Cycle C, Weekday Cycle 2, Psalter Week 2

Entrance           The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

Antiphon          The Lord is the stronghold of my life; whom should I dread?  When those who do evil draw near, they stumble and fall.

1st Reading       (1 Kings 17:17-24)  Look, your son is alive.

Response          I will praise you, Lord, you have rescued me.

2nd Reading     (Galations 1:11-19)  God revealed his Son to me, so that I might preach the Good News about him to the pagans.

Acclamation      Alleluia, alleluia! May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our mind, so that we can see what hope his call holds for us. Alleluia!

Gospel              (Luke 7:11-17)  Young man, I tell you to get up.

Children           Jesus sees a mother crying because her only son has died.  Jesus is so sad to see her crying that he touches the man’s coffin and makes him become alive again.  Everyone who sees this is amazed that Jesus has the power to bring people back from the dead.

Communion      The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;

Antiphon          my God is my saving strength.
