SCRIPTURE AND PRAYER GROUP
Meetings start again this Tuesday 18th September 2018, at 8.00pm in the Committee Room. Shortly we will complete the readings from the Gospel of St Mark and then turn our attention to the readings from the Gospel of St Luke.
Now is a good time to join our group if you have been thinking about it. We meet every third Tuesday of the month from 8.00pm to about 9.30pm. You would be most welcome.

ADVENT PROGRAMME
Mary the mother of Jesus, the most important woman who has ever lived, was Mary of Nazareth. What part did she play in our salvation? How is she a model for us and most importantly why do we need Mary today?

The DVD series ‘Let It Be’, filmed in various locations, explores Mary and asks vital questions. It will be presented in the Iona room on Friday mornings in Advent, starting at 10.00am with refreshments, beginning this Friday 23rd November. All are welcome.

APOSTOLIC WORK CHRISTMAS SALE
Nov 24 – Nov 25 all-day

Apostolic Work Christmas Sale will be held after all the Masses on 24th and 25th November. Tea, coffee and scones and all the usual stalls including a special Christmas stall and Christmas ballot. Please come to support the Missions. Cake and craft donations or prizes for the tombola will be very welcome. If anyone can help in a practical way after any of the Masses we would be very grateful. Please let any
member know or simply offer your services on the day.

COUNT ME IN

COUNT ME IN
A new youth inclusion programme ‘Count Me In’, will begin in St Colmcille’s Hall this Sunday from 4.00pm – 6.00pm over two terms, for 9 – 13 year olds. The young people will have the opportunity to explore their own identity and culture and gain an appreciation of the cultures of other young people in our parish. We hope to reduce the feelings of marginalisation/isolation and enable young people to overcome difficult issues by helping them develop coping strategies and develop tolerance and understanding.

Included in the programme will be a bus tour of Belfast, a visit to Stormont Buildings and a residential at Corrymeela, Ballycastle on the weekend of 30th November/2nd December. Cost for the programme is £10. Application forms in Church porch. Enquiries to Noeleen : 078 7949 8131.

PARISH CHRISTMAS DINNER
Dec 9 @ 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm

This year’s over 60’s Christmas Dinner will be held in Shandon Park Golf Club on Sunday 9th December from 3.00pm – 6.30pm. A four course dinner will be served from 3.30pm. Alan the ‘Bandman’ will be there providing his usual entertainment along with a visit from Santa. As this event is outside the Parish we need to confirm final numbers by Sunday 2nd December. If you wish to attend please provide your name, contact details and choice of meal on the spreadsheet at the back of the church.
Should you wish to make a contribution towards the cost of this celebration, envelopes will be available on the night for anonymous donations.
