The Sick and Retired Priests collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend. Many thanks to all who contributed so generously to the collection last weekend.
JOB VACANCY : ST COLMCILLE’S PARISH
Administration Support Part Time
St Colmcille’s Parish requires a part time permanent Administration Support who will provide general office duties to the Parish team and deliver their duties in a professional and effective manner. If you are interested then we want to hear from you.
You will be highly organised, possess good communication skills and effectively and positively work in a small team. Competent in Microsoft Office, ideally possessing database updating skills. You will have the ability to manage and update the Parish website and social media. This role requires a person who is consistently welcoming, helpful and respectful to all who come into contact with the Parish office. You will be highly confidential and discreet.
There can be some flexibility around the working pattern but it is expected the hours will be Monday to Thursday 10.00am to 12.30pm and Friday 10.00am to 1.00pm. The salary is £10.00 per hour. For an application pack please email- stcolmcilles@downandconnor.org

Can YOU commit to spend one hour with JESUS especially between 4.00pm – 5.00pm or 5.00pm – 6.00pm on Mondays or Tuesdays?
If so write your name in the register in the Chapel of Adoration or leave a message with the Parish Office between 10.00am – 12.00noon. Of course everyone is free to visit JESUS exposed in the Chapel of Adoration when they wish.
WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
The Women’s World Day of Prayer will be held in Belmont Presbyterian Church at 8.00pm on Friday 3rd March. Praying for the Philippines is the focus for this year. Men, women and children are welcome.
DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2017
Full board in 4* hotel: Monday 10th – Monday 17th July, for £675 ; Tuesday 11th – Sunday 16th July, for £590.
Full board for sick or infirm pilgrims with nursing care in Accueil Notre-Dame: Tuesday 11th – Sunday 16th July for £490.
Youth Team: Saturday 8th – Monday 17th July, £550. Youth Teams assist with the sick and also with those who have mobility issues.

CENTENARY PILGRIMAGE TO FATIMA 1917 – 2017
The Diocesan Centenary Pilgrimage to Fatima will be led by the Most Rev Noel Treanor. There are two options-
(1)Thursday 27th July to Thursday 3rd August for £659;
(2)Tuesday 25th July to Thursday 3rd August 2017, for £709.
Option 2 includes 3 nights in Santiago de Compostla.

TOCCATA CONCERT
Tweleve West End performers accompanied by a local community choir will perform songs from the shows and iconic rock and roll music, in Our Lady & St Patrick’s College, Gilnahirk Road, Belfast on Saturday 4th March at 8.00pm. Doors open at 7.45pm. Tickets for what promises to be a wonderful concert and to include a drinks reception, are £15 and can be obtained from Paddy Donnelly- 9065 1351. WALK WITH ME BOOKS
A Lenten Journey of Prayer booklet, to aid you with your daily devotions in Lent, are available at the back of the Church. Price £1. Please put money in the box in the wall next to the candelabra.
MORNING MASS
During Lent, morning Mass will be celebrated Monday to Friday mornings at 7.15am and and 9.30am.
THE LARDER
Beginning the weekend of March 3rd/ 4th, the St Vincent De Paul Society will be placing boxes in the Church porch to collect food stuffs etc, for the Larder, the food bank attached to St Christopher’s Church, Mersey St, who help many of our clients who are in severe poverty. The following items would be most suitable and a great help – cereal, jam, pasta, rice, pasta & curry sauces, tinned meat, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, biscuits, coffee, toilet rolls, washing powder, tooth brushes, toiletries, washing up liquid.
MEETINGS
BALLYHACKAMORE GOLF SOCIETY The AGM of the Ballyhackamore Golf Society will be held in the Iona Room at 3.00pm on this Sunday 19th February. All existing members are invited. SCRIPTURE AND PRAYER GROUP We meet again this Tuesday 21st February, in the Committee Room
at 8.00pm. We will reflect on the readings for the 8th Sunday of the Year and 1st Sunday of Lent.
BAPTISM
The Baptism Team will meet new parents this Tuesday 21st February at 8.00pm in the Iona room, Parochial Hall. Please register you name for attendance at the meeting by contacting the Parish Office. You may arrange a date for Baptism at this meeting. Parents who have previously attended the Baptism Meeting may arrange the date of their new child’s Baptism through the Parish Office.
WEDNESDAY CLUB
You are invited to a demonstration of ‘Baking on the Griddle’. Come and sample the goodies and bring some home on Wednesday 1st March at 2.00pm.
